“Is it necessary, Justin?”, they ask.

I’m often asked by new clients about using supplements…

“Is it necessary, Justin?”, they ask.

Well, the simple answer is, it depends…

I mean, is working out necessary?

Is eating vegetables necessary?

Is going to personal development events like the Women’s Empowerment Event necessary?

It depends on your goals, right?

So, if your goal is to become the BEST version of YOU, be healthy and fit, have lots of energy, and live your best life then…

YES.  I firmly believe that taking certain supplements is necessary.

Same goes for working out, eating your veggies, and attending personal development events.  😉

“OK.  If I’m on a budget, or even just want to tiptoe into this world, what should I start with?”

Now that’s a better question!  🙂

And, I won’t say, “it depends.”  😉

That’s because I believe we all start with the same foundation and then expand from there.

But, before we get to “actual” supplements, I want to share my view on two items:

  1. Protein Powder
  2. Cooking Oil

I don’t consider either of these to be supplements.  In my mind, they’re groceries.

You buy chicken and fish for protein.  Well, protein powder is in that same category.

You use cooking oil for certain meals.  Well, then use the best when you can.

Oh, one more thing… I really like to start someone off with an initial Detox & Cleanse, but this article is more about what to use on an ongoing basis.

Now that we got that out of the way, the first supplement I’m going to recommend to 99.9% of the people who I talk to is Vibe – the best multivitamin and mineral…and then some…formula I’ve come across.

For some people’s budget, that might be it.  Done.

If there’s a little more room to invest in your health, I’m going to add Efacor – the highest quality AND best-priced fish oil I know of.

Those two supplements are what I call foundational supplements.  I’ve yet to come across a fitness or nutrition expert who would disagree that a high-quality multivitamin and fish oil wouldn’t be listed as 1 & 2.

From there, there might be a little discrepancy among experts regarding the order, but you’ll typically find Probiotic+ and Vitamin D in the “core four.”

A pretty unique supplement that I’d add to the list, especially given the low cost for the effectiveness (25 cents per dose) is Chlorophyll+.

After that, it becomes very custom to the customer…

There are specific supplements that are ideal for heart health, joint health, sleep, energy, immune support, bone health, menopause, and just about every other health goal/concern you can imagine.

This is a topic I’m super-fascinated with so if you’d like to talk more about your individual goals and what would be ideal beyond the basics covered here, contact me and we’ll set up a time to talk.  🙂
